100 Mile Club

The 100 Mile Club started at Don Julian School in 2018.  Mrs. Lopez is our teacher leader who sets it up and monitors each student’s progress throughout the year.  Our PTA supports the program by purchasing the EZScan App that allows us to produce a card with a QR code for each student and they scan it on an Ipad or phone as they walk, jog, or run around our track.  In addition, our PTA sponsors monthly family events to that everyone can come out and exercise and help their child earn miles.

Our teachers have incorporated walking our track as part of their physical education program.

One Goal: Walk, job, or run 100 miles in the course of a school year.

How it works:

Students are invited to join the club by making a $10 donation.  The $10 is used to fund the following: a 100 Mile T-shirt at 25 miles, a 100 mile pencil at 50 miles, a bracelet at 75 miles, and a gold medal during our ceremony at the end of the year if they reach 100 miles!

All students receive a certificate acknowledging their accomplishment.

Donors:

We are very grateful to Maintex, for sponsoring sixty of our students in the 2019-20 school year.
