Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year!
Dear Don Julian students, parents, and families,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the start of the 2025-26 school year. I hope that your summer was great, restful, and that you are ready for the start of the new school year! As your principal, I look forward to working with all students, families, and staff to make this a great 2025-2026 school year. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 19th and classes will begin at 7:55 am. Back to School Night is Thursday, August 21st from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
This year we are excited to welcome several new staff members to our Don Julian Lion family:
- Shanteli Salcedo – 3rd Grade Teacher
- Vidal Capetillo – Physical Education Teacher
- Silvia Torrico – Elementary School RSP Teacher
- Abraham Ortega – Middle School RSP Teacher
- Denise Arellano – Music Teacher
We are thrilled to have this outstanding group of educators join and grow with our team!
As a reminder, Bassett USD and Don Julian School have a uniform dress code policy. All students are expected to be in school uniform every day on campus. The only exceptions are Monday’s and Friday’s if students are wearing their DJ or college shirts. Please make sure students adhere to this policy. Thank you for your help!
