WHAT: Bassett Unified School District will host the second annual “Celebrating Bassett,” a showcase of 2018-19 student achievement, programs, enrichment opportunities, dual enrollment, Digital Learning Initiative and much more.
Featured programs will include science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields, including robotics, college and career preparation programs Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE). In addition, the program will showcase innovative enrichment programs in the arts, including a drum class and film program.

The showcase includes student clubs Bassett Connects, which focuses on social-emotional health, and HOSA Health Academy, which guides students interested in medical careers. The district’s groundbreaking training program for classroom technology will also be center stage – including a green screen and 3-D printer.

DETAILS: The event will include performances by Bassett High School’s Jazz Ensemble and Cheer team, as well as an elementary Mariachi performance. Superintendent Debra French will give a presentation.
